INFORMATION NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CARRIED OUT THROUGH THE VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS INSTALLED BY FIERA MILANO S.P.A.
Article 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016 – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
In order to complete the information provided to the natural persons concerned by means of the signals located in the nearby of the video-monitored areas displaying the simplified information notices , we would like to provide the following further information regarding the processing of personal data carried out by Fiera Milano S.p.A. (hereinafter "Fiera Milano"), as Data Controller, through the video surveillance systems installed by the same.
The processing of personal data relating to the images taken and recorded is necessary for the pursuit of legitimate interests of Fiera Milano related to the safeguarding and protection of safety and security of individuals, of the venues, of the properties and of the assets of the Company against possible thefts, robberies or acts of vandalism, as well as the possible defense of rights, including those of third parties, in court. The detection and recording of images are therefore necessary for such purposes and in their absence it would not be possible to guarantee adequate protection of individuals and corporate assets.
The images taken are recorded and stored for the period of time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes indicated above, and in any case for a period not exceeding 7 days, for the specific needs of safety and security protection, also with regard to the size of the exhibition centre, to the duration of the events and to the specific activities carried out, which often prevent a sudden investigation of any thefts, acts of vandalism, etc. and involve the receipt of a large number of requests, without prejudice to further retention in the face of any specific needs for the defense of rights, including those of third parties, in court and requests from judicial authorities or judicial police. At the end of the retention period, the recorded images will be deleted from the relevant electronic, computer or magnetic device.
The images taken and recorded, protected with adequate security measures, can be known only by personnel specifically authorized by Fiera Milano or by external subjects who, as data processors, collaborate in the management and in the maintenance of the systems and in the activities of private security (operating, for example, in the security and surveillance sector), as well as by the consultants who assist Fiera Milano in any legal proceedings. They are not in any way communicated or disseminated outside the Fiera Milano organization, without prejudice to the execution of any requests from the judicial or judicial police authorities or, in the case of offences, to the use for purposes of protecting rights, even in court.
The natural persons concerned (the natural persons to whom the personal data refer) have the right to access only the video recorded data concerning themselves (i.e. only the recorded images in which the natural person captured on video can be identifiable) pursuant to articles 15 et seq. of the GDPR. In particular, the person concerned, where she/he is in any case identifiable, has the right to ask Fiera Milano to access her/his personal data and to correct them if they are inaccurate, to cancel them or limit their treatment if the conditions are met, or to oppose their treatment for legitimate reasons relating to her/his particular situation.
