THE FUTURE OF FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS AT THE MILAN FINTECH SUMMIT

Closing with over 1000 participants and more than 100 international speakers, the third edition of the Milan Fintech Summit, the appointment with fintech - technology applied to finance. Helping the Italian fintech ecosystem to grow, attracting interest and investment also from international players and turning the spotlight on Milan's central role as Europe's capital of innovation are the objectives of the international event promoted and organised by Fintech District, Business International Events, together with FTS Group and with the support of the Municipality of Milan through Milano & Partners. 

The FDI Unit - Foreign & Direct Investments Unit of Milano & Partners shows that in the last two years 152 international Fintech companies have shown a concrete interest in the city of Milan. From 2018 to 2021, Fintech companies in Italy grew year-on-year by 28%, from 299 to 564 with the city of Milan leading this growth and attracting more and more investments, hosting more than 45% of them.

Among the main themes addressed during the three days of the Milan Fintech Summit, the aim of creating a new Italian and international culture of financial and banking services, with the desire to build a new ecosystem capable of becoming the bearer of new values such as equal access to credit for all, increasingly transparent and simplified management of transactions, and better financial support for businesses.
